SC Villa

A Short Trip To Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

It is a second consecutive Derby fixture as we take a very short trip to Lugogo to play against KCCA F.C.

In the first round at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds, a then very inform KCCA which had only conceded 1 goal was swept aside by a resilient SC Villa on matchday four. The game ended 2-1 with goals from Nicholas Kabonge and Ronald Ssekiganda.

SC Villa comes into this game on the back of a barren home draw against eternal rivals Express. Although Kaziba’s boys failed to find the back of the net for the first time in 4 league games, there were positives to pick from the game. The central defence pairing of Gavin Kizito and Geofrey Wasswa played a second game together. In both games, they have not conceded a single goal.

Going into this game, the Jogoos have won 3 consecutive away games in all competitions scoring seven goals in the process and conceding only two.

Opponent Watch

KCCA come into this game on the back of a 2-0 loss to URA F.C. They are one point and one place above SC Villa in 5th place.

Kaziba’s Take On The Game

“My team is in very good shape. Since we finished the Express game, all our focus has been on this game.

“We beat KCCA in the first round but last season they beat us in Lugogo. It’s something we look forward to changing tomorrow.

“I have only one fresh injury(Andrew Kiwanuka) in the squad and the two(Kakomo and Kibirige) who were suspended for the Express game are back and ready to take part.

“Tomorrow’s game is another Derby, we will go to Lugogo with the sole aim of collecting all three Derby points.”
