How February Shapes Up for SC Villa.

Villa return to League action this February  with a home game vs. MYDA F.C.

For the first 12 days of the month, SC Villa will continue to carryout the regular training in preparation for the league return. February is an action packed month for the team and so adequate preparation will be carried out throughout the month in order to meet team goals.

Once action returns on the 13th February, the team will have an average of 2.4 days of resting time between the 5 games to be played in 15 days. Without doubt February is an action packed month.

February action kicks off with a home tie against League debutants MYDA F.C. MYDA are currently 14th on the log with only 1 point. We will be meeting MYDA for the first time ever, a fixture in which we expect zero surprises.

Four days later we will pay a visit to Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso. In a reverse fixture last season(the only game played between both sides before the League was called off), The Jogoos beat Giants 2-0. Villa will look to build onto this and continue dominance over Wakiso Giants.

In the third fixture, we will be home to currently bottom side Kitara F.C on the 20th of February. Kitara are also League debutants and it will also be our first League meeting. Three days later we will complete our first round fixtures against the bottom trio with a trip away to Busoga United at Njeru Technical Grounds. All the bottom three sides have managed a single point each.

To conclude our February fixtures is a home tie against current table leaders UPDF F.C  on February 27th. UPDF are on top of the log with 12 points, 5 better than Villa in the 7th place.

Depending on how the Uganda Hippos venture out in Mauritania, we will be without centre half Gavin Kizito for most (if not all) of these fixtures. Within that period, Gavin will be tasked with captaining the Uganda Hippos at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

“We are training to get ready for resumption of the League. Our main goal is to achieve a high level of fitness and stamina so that we do not slip in any of our five February fixtures.

We will be without Gavin because of his National Team commitments and we ready for that. We have other players in the squad who will cover up for him during the time he’ll be away,” commented Head Coach Edward Kaziba about the upcoming fixtures.
