SC Villa head coach, Petros Koukouras has tasked the Jogoos to pick all points in our third away game against BUL FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League tomorrow Tuesday.
The encounter doubles as our third home game as well as what had to be our opening game before a reshuffle in the campaign’s fixture list.
The game against BUL FC will be played at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, and will be our first game at the astroturf having played the earlier two at Kavumba Recreational Centre, Wakiso.
“We need the three points and the boys know it’s all we want,” Koukouras told the club’s official website in an interview.
“We have to continue building and getting better. However, after picking a point against Express FC it will be fair to win this game being at home.”
“There is not much time in between the two matches so we just try to see how we can bring freshness back to the players and be ready for the game tomorrow,” he highlighted.
Playing the first game at the astroturf, it remains a point of time to see how the lads will fare having proven that they enjoy playing a total game.
“Most of the players have played on the artificial pitch before. We know it’s different from playing on the natural ground but we have to adapt immediately to settle at our home.”
“The positive is that the ground favours our style of play and I can not wait to see the lads enjoy themselves tomorrow,” he expressed intent.
In the last five meetings, we have shared points on four occasions while BUL has picked the only win.
Last season we shared spoils in a 1-1 draw at Bombo Barracks grounds after coming from behind to complete a 2-2 stalemate at their home.
Winger Allan Nyanzi picked an injury during training to join Nicholas Kabonge who is also out due to illness. Ssekandi, Baale and Ismail Mugulusi are long-term absentees.
