SC Villa Announces Congress Meeting and Opens Congress Membership Registration

Sports Club Villa has announced the convening of its Congress Meeting and opened registration for Congress Membership ahead of the 2026/27 season.

In a notice issued to all registered members of the Villa Members Trust, the Club has confirmed that registration for the current Congress Membership period is now open with immediate effect.

Interested members have been invited to subscribe at a fee of UGX 1,000,000 (One Million Uganda Shillings Only). Registration is to be completed at the SC Villa Club Offices within two weeks from 22 July 2026, the date of the notice.

The Club has encouraged all eligible members to take note of the registration window and subscribe accordingly, in line with the provisions of the SC Villa Club Statutes. The Congress Meeting will be constituted on a first-come, first-served basis, as stipulated in the Club’s governing statutes.

Following the opening of Congress Membership registration, SC Villa has also formally notified Congress Members of the date, venue and agenda for the upcoming Sports Club Villa Congress Meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 23 August 2026, commencing at 10:00am at East High School, Ntinda–Kulambiro.

The Congress meeting will provide members with an opportunity to deliberate on key matters concerning the Club, including proposed amendments to the SC Villa Club Statutes.

The agenda for the meeting will be as follows:

  1. Opening Prayer
  2. Remarks by the Chairman, Board of Trustees
  3. Remarks by the Club’s Counsel on the Amendment of Club Statutes
  4. Adoption of the Proposed Amendments
  5. Any Other Business (AOB)
  6. Closing Prayer

The meeting forms part of the Club’s ongoing governance and institutional processes, with the proposed amendments to the Club Statutes set to be a key item of discussion and consideration by Congress Members.

All eligible members are therefore encouraged to take note of the membership registration deadline and the date of the Congress Meeting.

SC Villa Acquire the Signature of Tonny “Zuzu” Asiku

SC Villa are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young attacking midfielder Tonny “Zuzu” Asiku, who has joined the Jogoos on a four-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 22-year-old midfielder joins the club from regional side Arua Airfield FC, where he has continued to develop his reputation as one of the promising young talents in Ugandan football.

Known for his creativity, technical ability and attacking instincts, Asiku adds further quality and depth to the Jogoos’ midfield department as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new campaign.

The attacking midfielder is comfortable operating in advanced midfield positions and brings an ability to link midfield and attack, create opportunities for teammates and contribute in the final third. His arrival adds competition to an already talented group of attacking midfielders at the club.

Asiku becomes the latest addition to the Jogoos squad as the club continues its preparations for the 2026/27 season, with the technical team focused on building a competitive squad capable of competing at the highest level.

His four-year deal reflects the club’s belief in his potential and long-term development. At just 22 years of age, Asiku has significant room for growth, and SC Villa will provide him with the platform to continue his development while competing for opportunities within the first team.

SC Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Steven “Pivot” Mugisha, the 2006 born joins the Jogoos ahead of the 2026/27 season for the Next four.

A commanding midfielder and the former captain of Bulemeezi Ssaza, Mugisha arrives at Villa with leadership qualities, defensive resilience, and valuable experience. His composure on the ball, aerial presence, and ability to organize the backline make him a strong addition to the club’s defensive unit.

Having led Bulemeezi with distinction in the Buganda Masaza Cup, Mugisha has built a reputation as a dependable defender and a natural leader both on and off the pitch. His consistent performances have earned him recognition as one of the country’s promising defensive talents.

Speaking after completing his move, the former Kira United midfielder expressed his excitement about joining Uganda’s most successful football club.

SC Villa Delighted to Secure Isaac Gumperom on Four-Year Deal

SC Villa is delighted to announce the signing of prolific forward Isaac Gumperom ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 24-year-old striker has signed a four-year contract with the Jogoos, adding firepower to the club’s attacking options as preparations for the new campaign gather pace.

Gumperom arrives after an outstanding season with Young Elephants Academy FC in the FUFA Big League, where he scored 17 goals to finish as the league’s top scorer and claim the Golden Boot award.

Widely admired for his intelligent movement in the final third, aerial presence, clinical finishing, and ability to find space in dangerous areas, Gumperom has established himself as one of the country’s most promising attacking talents.

His goals played a pivotal role in Young Elephants Academy FC’s impressive campaign, and his consistent performances earned him recognition as the FUFA Big League’s leading marksman.

The arrival of Gumperom is expected to strengthen SC Villa’s attacking unit, increase competition for places, and provide the Jogoos with another potent goal-scoring threat as the club targets success in the 2026/27 season.

First Blood in the Transfer Window: John Asiimwe is a Jogoo!

SC Villa is delighted to announce the signing of promising left winger John Asiimwe, who becomes the club’s first acquisition ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 17-year-old has penned a three-year contract with the record Uganda Premier League champions as the Jogoos continue to strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.

Asiimwe joins SC Villa after spending the last two seasons at Express FC. A graduate of the Uganda Cubs side that represented the country at the FIFA U-17 World Cup last year, he is regarded as one of Uganda’s brightest young talents.

Before joining Express, Asiimwe developed his game at Prosper Soccer Academy and also featured for Bukedea Comprehensive School during the USSSA Games, where he showcased his immense potential.

Speaking after completing his move, the youngster expressed his excitement about joining the Jogoos.

“I am glad to have joined Uganda’s best champions. It’s a pleasure for me to be here, and I can’t wait to create great memories with this wonderful club.”

SC Villa Sign Experienced Defender Farouk “Musota” Matovu to Bolster Backline

SC Villa have completed the signing of defender Farouk Matovu, popularly known as “Musota,” from UPPC FC.


The experienced center-back joins the Jogoos as the club continues to reinforce its defensive department, with anticipation also surrounding the situation of defender Arnold Odong.


Matovu is widely recognized for his physical strength, composure on the ball, and sharp game-reading ability. His arrival is expected to add stability and leadership at the back.


“I am loving everything here at Villa,” Matovu said. “The coaches have shown faith in me by giving me this opportunity, and I am ready to repay that trust. I am optimistic about playing here for the next two years.”


The 29-year-old defender has previously featured for several clubs, including KCCA FC, BUL FC, Express FC, and Kiyinda Boys FC, in addition to his most recent stint at UPPC.
