SC Villa return to road action this [Matchday 10] of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League as they make the trip to face BUL FC, looking to extend their positive run away from home.
Following an important victory over Lugazi FC in their previous away outing, the Jogoos will be eager to build on that result, maintain their unbeaten momentum on the road and collect more valuable points.
The two sides have met 24 times, with BUL FC holding the historical advantage of 11 victories compared to SC Villa’s five, while eight encounters have ended in draws.
The fixture has also produced 44 goals, with BUL FC accounting for 25 and the Jogoos scoring the remaining 19, setting the stage for another competitive encounter.
TEAM NEWS
SC Villa will be without midfielder Aslam Semakula, who is suspended for the fixture following an accumulation of yellow cards.
Youngster and Left Back Gilbert Ogenrowt had this to say ahead of tomorrow:
It will be a pleasure for me to be part of tomorrow’s game. Both teams are strong, and it will be a big occasion for us as young players. Playing against teams of this calibre helps us build momentum, gain valuable experience and continue developing as players.
Head Coach Zeljko Kovacevic previewed tomorrow’s encounter;
“BUL FC are a good team, and they were the only side we failed to get points against last season, so we know we have to prepare well for this game. They have some quality players who were with us last season, including goalkeeper Wokorach and defender Kibande. They also have a good coach with plenty of experience in this league, so we expect a tough game.
I call upon our fans to come out in big numbers and support the team. Aslam Semakula is the only player who will miss the game due to yellow card accumulation. The rest of the squad is available, and we are ready to fight for the three points.
The Jogoos will nevertheless be determined to put up a strong performance and continue their push for maximum points.
