SC Villa Calls for Justice Following the Tragic Passing of Captain David Owori

Sports Club Villa has called upon the relevant security and law enforcement agencies to urgently investigate and bring to justice those responsible for the tragic death of club captain David Owori, who succumbed to injuries sustained following a brutal assault by unknown assailants.

Owori was attacked near his home in Makindye on Monday evening before being rushed to Case Clinic in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he sadly passed away, leaving the Club, the football fraternity, and the nation in mourning.

In an official statement, SC Villa condemned the senseless act of violence and appealed to the authorities to ensure that those behind the attack are apprehended and prosecuted.

“We call upon the relevant security and law enforcement agencies to urgently pursue, apprehend, and bring to justice the perpetrators of this heinous crime.”

The Club described Owori’s passing as a devastating loss, noting that Uganda has lost not only an accomplished footballer but also an exceptional leader and role model.

“This senseless act has robbed the Club and the country of a committed captain and a promising sportsman, and it must not go unanswered.”
